 I have often wondered, „If I had to start dating again; where would I start, where would I go, how would I approach her,...”. It honestly makes my head spin. I don’t know how to date. All I know how to do anymore is hangout with my wife. We don’t always agree on everything, but most of the time we do. After 21 years I admit I do still get the butterflies sometimes...., and if I am being honest other times I don’t even want her around haha. She is my best friend and in those 21 years we have been apart no more than a handful of days at a time. I guess the point I want to make is: I believe you need to share common interests. I did not settle for her and I don’t believe she settled for me. I do know one thing. I didn’t find her until I found myself. I am not trying to make some profound statement here. I just know when I wasn't happy with myself I wasn’t receptive or ready to meet someone. Had my mind been where it was earlier I would have doomed us before we began.
