I saw Peter Gabriel live....great show. In fact performed a song on a Segway....

I believe his daughter on stage with him.

I have fat too many cds to count and still buy them. Difference from from the classic new music....after I play them 6 months I hardly play them again....just not memorable....

While I grew up listening to The Beatles (of course), I've always been a big fan of Neil Young, Yes, Moody Blues, Blue Oyster Cult, Tom Petty, Traveling Wilburys, etc. About 20 yrs ago I really got into a Dwight Yoakam "Bakersfield twang" kick which drew me right into a Buck Owens thing. Some guy I knew asked me if I was a Hee Haw fan, which I said no. Buck Owens had 21 #1 hits BEFORE Hee Haw ever came around. I was working at a shop where the owner's 80 yr old mother was the book keeper. We would take turns playing CDs on the shop stereo when one day she walked in demanding to make HER pick. That day all of us classic rockers were jamming to Frank Sinatra and loving it. I have several of his CDs.

Certainly brought back some great memories of some great bands.

I had a lover once who timed his masturbation sessions with his lifting days to maximize his testosterone.... he'd seen some Russian study about it. Hadn't heard that about Peter Gabriel.

I'm admittedly a Big Band of the original sort fan. When I was in high school, I was a weather-girl on a big band station and just fell in love with the genre then. I have so many different stations on my Pandora that I joke about going from Doris Day to Dr Dre.

You have a great taste in music, which is very close to mine in fact.
I have recently been on a King Crimson listening campaign. The recent live albums are terrific but you can't beat the original 'Court' for nostalgia.
I went right off Genesis when Peter Gabriel left. Selling England By The Pound is my fav.
Prog roolz!

Man, oh man, music is a many splendored thing. So many people say they love all kinds of music, but they really don't. I like many types of music, much centering on rock. I love Zeppelin, but also Robert Plant's solo work (Dreamland is a fabulous album). I love AC/DC, Sabbath, Foghat, and newer acts like Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains and Foo Fighters. Queen is great, I love Yes as well, but the first album of theirs I got was their new one at the time, Drama in '81. Not the original lineup, but great work nonetheless. Steve Howe is a master.
I like bluesy stuff, SRV, BB King, etc. I like old school country artists like Johnny Cash and Dolly and Merle. Love Elvis and John Denver, but also like Sinatra, classical music and some good songs from musicals even. Though I appreciate the artistry in , and can enjoy some of it, it's not really my bag.
Sorry for the term paper.
